The Truss Partner program
Built for truss fabricators, component shops and lumber yards: every plan set your desk touches becomes a preliminary truss package in minutes — measured spans, per-type counts, board footage and a watermarked PRELIM PDF your designer confirms, revises and seals.
$250 / seat / month · unlimited truss uploads & prelim reviews
Truss-only tier — sold per designer/estimator seat. Preliminary output; your licensed designer finalizes & seals.
Every seat runs unlimited plan uploads & prelim truss reviews. No caps, no packs.
Jacks, valleys, hip girders, commons, gable ends — counted from measured roof geometry.
Cover, placement plan, profile sheet & floor zones — watermarked, designer-ready.
Plates, ply, uplift, loading & the PE seal are never computed here. We prepare; you engineer.
No mystery-box "AI". These are the concrete outputs a Truss Partner seat produces from an uploaded plan set today.
Reads the uploaded permit set: building footprint & dimensions, roof pitch, roof type (gable / hip / multi-wing), the floor-plan sheet auto-selected and every roof line traced. Interior bearing lines are surfaced as advisory — you confirm before a span is split.
Counts by truss type with spans and notes: commons, gable ends, and on hip roofs the real mix — jack packs, valley sets and diagonal hip girders. Hip corners are decomposed, not averaged.
Primary vs alternate span direction side by side — count and board footage for each — so your designer picks the run, not the software.
Preliminary BF on the selected chord size for the whole schedule — the number your quote desk wants first.
Flat / parallel-chord zones proposed from the plan footprint and detected bearings: span, run, count and end-gables per zone. Depth stays engineered — set by your designer, never assumed.
Span, slope, heel height, overall height and chord lengths laid out like a MiTek / Alpine drawing, each labeled exact prelim or sealed so a designer reads it in seconds.
A supplier-handover PDF: cover & summary with the per-type schedule, truss placement plan, profile sheet and floor-zone layout — every page watermarked PRELIMINARY — NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION.
Per-seat licensing: every designer and estimator gets their own login in one shared workspace — same projects, same uploads, same packages.
Lumber grade & species, final member design, girder ply, connector plates, wind loads & uplift, loading & load cases, deflection, camber, bracing and the PE seal — always yours. The boundary is contractual, not cosmetic.
Sample schedule in the product's real format. Real sealed supplier packages are dominated by jacks — so that's how we count. A "commons across the span" estimate under-counts a hip roof badly.
| Truss type | Count | Span | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jack — open | 46 | 2′–22′ steps | hip-corner packs, both ends |
| Common (Fink) | 16 | 48′ | @ 24″ o.c. between girders |
| Valley set | 12 | varies | over the wing intersection |
| Diagonal hip girder | 4 | corner diag. | carries the jack packs — ply by designer |
| TOTAL | 78 | jacks ≈ 59% of the roof — the real hip mix | |

This is the current, working product flow — not a roadmap. Five steps from PDF to a designer-ready package.
Drag in the permit set — one PDF or loose pages, they combine into one plan. Every sheet is indexed and typed from its title block so the roof and floor-plan sheets are found automatically. Truss Partner seats have unlimited uploads.
The AI reads the roof off the plan — footprint and dimension chains, pitch, roof type, wings, and interior bearing lines (always advisory, never silently applied). Where the plan states it, the inputs are pre-filled; where it doesn't, nothing is assumed — pitch is never guessed.
Hip corners decompose into jack packs, valley sets and the diagonal girders that carry them; commons fill between. Primary vs alternate span direction are shown side by side with count and board footage — your designer picks the run with a click.
| Zone | Span | Run | Count | Board ft | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Primary | 48′ | 62′ | 78 | 4,180 | Use these → |
| Alt 1 | 62′ | 48′ | 64 | 4,205 | Use these → |
| Span (measured) exact | 48-0-0 |
| Slope exact | 5/12 |
| Heel height exact | 0-3-13 |
| Overall height exact | 10-3-8 |

| Wind loads & uplift sealed | by truss mfr |
The geometry lands in the same field anatomy as a MiTek / Alpine drawing — exact, prelim and sealed clearly separated. Floor-truss span zones are proposed from the footprint and detected bearings; you confirm each span, and depth stays the designer's call.
One click builds the supplier-handover PDF: cover & per-type summary, truss placement plan, profile sheet and floor-zone layout. Every page is watermarked PRELIMINARY — NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION, and every sealed field is named, never valued — so the package accelerates your designer without ever pretending to be the design.
Truss review is à la carte everywhere else on the platform — unlimited lives here, on the partner tier, on purpose.
Truss-only tier — framing, window and siding takeoffs are separate products and not included.
The caps are deliberate: preliminary truss review is a partner product built for the companies that live in truss — fabricators, component shops and lumber yards — not an add-on for individual framing subscribers.
Need framing takeoffs too? Pair partner seats with any framing plan.
We're onboarding a small group of founding truss partners: white-glove setup, your seats provisioned by our team, and a direct line while we shape the truss roadmap around real fabricator workflows.
Founding partner pricing is locked in as we grow — early partners keep their rate.
Designing, quoting and sealing — not redrawing what the plan already says. Unlimited preliminary truss reviews, $250 per seat per month.
Preliminary output — final member sizing, plates, and seal by your licensed truss designer.
