Version 1.1 — Effective September 1, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of LumberJack AI. By creating an account, accepting these Terms, or using the Services, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that company.
LumberJack AI, LLC provides technology-assisted construction estimating, material takeoff, plan-analysis, quote-review, and related decision-support tools (the "Services"). LumberJack AI is designed to assist professionals, not replace them.
The Services may use artificial intelligence, computer vision, automated extraction, deterministic rules, formulas, algorithms, and other software systems to analyze information supplied by users. LJAI outputs are intended to improve efficiency and assist users in reviewing construction information. They are not intended to eliminate professional review, verification, judgment, or responsibility.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement executed by an appropriately licensed professional, LumberJack AI does not provide engineering services, architectural services, structural design, truss engineering, sealed calculations or drawings, building-code certification, product-approval certification, permitting services, inspection services, surveying services, legal advice, or any other service requiring professional licensure.
Nothing generated by LJAI constitutes an engineer's, architect's, truss designer's, building official's, estimator's, contractor's, supplier's, or other licensed professional's approval.
Users must obtain all professional reviews, engineering, approvals, permits, inspections, and certifications required for their project.
All quantities, takeoffs, classifications, measurements, budgets, recommendations, flags, comparisons, and other outputs produced by LJAI are provided as estimates and decision-support information.
Outputs may contain errors, omissions, incorrect interpretations, duplicate quantities, missed quantities, plan-reading errors, measurement differences, or other inaccuracies. Construction documents themselves may also contain conflicting, incomplete, outdated, or incorrect information.
THE USER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INDEPENDENTLY REVIEWING AND VERIFYING ALL LJAI OUTPUTS BEFORE RELYING ON THEM.
LJAI outputs should not be used as the sole basis for purchasing materials, ordering engineered products, submitting binding bids, fabricating components, performing construction, making structural decisions, or representing compliance with applicable codes or project requirements.
LumberJack AI continuously works to improve its technology, but does not represent or warrant that any output will be completely accurate, complete, current, error-free, or suitable for every project.
Past performance, internal testing, demonstrations, accuracy measurements, marketing statements, case studies, or comparisons do not constitute a guarantee that the same results will occur on another plan or project.
Plan quality, scale, scanning, drafting conventions, revisions, annotations, project complexity, missing information, user selections, and other factors may materially affect results.
The user retains responsibility for all decisions made using LJAI, including verification of quantities, dimensions, material specifications, wall and floor conditions, openings, plan revisions, engineered components, structural requirements, manufacturer requirements, applicable building codes, product approvals, site-specific conditions, pricing, labor assumptions, purchasing decisions, construction methods, and final project scope.
The user should resolve discrepancies with the appropriate contractor, supplier, designer, architect, engineer, manufacturer, building official, or other qualified professional before proceeding.
LJAI must not be relied upon to independently determine the final engineering, sizing, specification, or suitability of engineered structural products. This includes LVL, LSL, PSL, engineered beams, I-joists, roof trusses, floor trusses, structural connectors, engineered lumber systems, and similar products.
Final engineered products and structural applications must be verified through applicable plans, specifications, manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, truss designers, or other qualified professionals.
LJAI may provide tools intended to assist truss manufacturers, estimators, suppliers, and related professionals with preliminary analysis, quote review, layout review, discrepancy identification, or similar workflows. These services are review and decision-support tools only.
Any preliminary truss-related information generated by LJAI is not an engineered truss design, sealed truss package, placement diagram, fabrication authorization, structural certification, or approval for construction.
Truss manufacturers, engineers, designers, estimators, and other professionals remain responsible for their own designs, quotes, layouts, calculations, approvals, and final work products.
Certain projects may require users to confirm or supply information that cannot reliably be determined from uploaded documents.
The user is responsible for the accuracy of all information entered, selected, confirmed, or uploaded into LJAI. Where LJAI requests user confirmation, LJAI may rely upon that information when generating subsequent outputs. Incorrect user input may produce incorrect results.
Users may upload construction plans, drawings, specifications, quotes, layouts, schedules, photographs, documents, and other materials. Users retain ownership of their User Content.
By uploading User Content, users grant LumberJack AI a limited license to host, store, process, analyze, reproduce, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Services, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Users represent that they have sufficient rights or authorization to upload and process User Content.
LumberJack AI will use commercially reasonable measures to protect information processed through the Services. However, no internet transmission, cloud service, storage system, or software platform can guarantee absolute security.
Users should not upload information unnecessary for the intended construction-analysis service, including Social Security numbers, payment-card numbers contained within plan documents, medical information, passwords, or similarly sensitive personal information.
Our standard plan-file retention target is 90 days after the last time you use a project. Automatic deletion is being activated in stages; until it is active for the applicable environment, a plan file may remain longer than 90 days.
Your takeoff is not deleted. The project, its packages, its material lines and your saved inputs remain in your account. What is removed is the source PDF.
The 90 days runs from your last activity on a project — not from when you created it. Opening a project, analysing it, or exporting a report from it resets the clock to a full 90 days, so a project you keep using is never removed however old it is. You can also press Keep on any project to reset the clock at any time.
When automatic removal is active, we give notice before a plan file is removed: the retention date is shown on the project, and ten days before removal the project is flagged in the application and we email the account owner. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of drawings you need to retain — every project can be exported and every plan can be downloaded at any time.
Once removed, a plan file cannot be recovered, and the project cannot be re-analysed without uploading the drawing again.
The standard target applies equally to free and paid accounts. You may delete a project or request deletion before automatic removal. We may change the retention period; if we shorten it we will notify account holders before the change takes effect. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
The user acknowledges that portions of the Services may rely on artificial intelligence and automated systems. Such systems can produce incorrect or unexpected results.
AI-generated or AI-assisted information must therefore be treated as an analytical aid rather than an authoritative professional determination. The presence of automation does not transfer responsibility for project decisions from the user to LumberJack AI.
Except for User Content and third-party materials, LumberJack AI and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Services, including software, source code, algorithms, workflows, interfaces, designs, databases, methodologies, branding, trademarks, documentation, and other intellectual property.
Use of the Services does not transfer ownership of LJAI technology to the user. Users may use generated reports and outputs for legitimate internal business and project purposes subject to these Terms.
Users may not:
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their account credentials, and for activity occurring through their accounts to the extent permitted by law. Self-service subscriptions are licensed to one named user unless the applicable order or written agreement expressly provides additional seats. Credentials may not be shared among employees, contractors, affiliates, or other people.
LJAI may suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, security threats, nonpayment, or Terms violations.
Certain Services require payment. Pricing, included usage, subscription terms, seat quantities, add-ons, credits, or other commercial terms are displayed during purchase or otherwise communicated before purchase.
LJAI may change future pricing or service packages upon reasonable notice. Changes will not retroactively alter charges already incurred. Features currently included within a plan may later be offered as a separate product or program, but any change to an active customer's price, included access, or renewal terms will be disclosed before it takes effect.
LJAI may rely upon third-party infrastructure and services, including payment processors, hosting providers, artificial-intelligence providers, communications services, analytics providers, and other technology vendors. LumberJack AI is not responsible for third-party outages, interruptions, or failures outside its reasonable control.
LJAI seeks to maintain reliable Services but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Services may become unavailable because of maintenance, updates, security events, internet failures, provider outages, force majeure events, or circumstances outside LJAI's reasonable control.
Features may be modified, improved, replaced, suspended, or discontinued as the platform evolves.
This restates Master Disclaimer v3.2, which you acknowledge in the application before a final output is generated or exported. It is a condition of use:
A qualified professional must verify quantities before purchase. You accept responsibility for what you order.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
LUMBERJACK AI DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, AND RELIABILITY, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
LJAI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR SUITABLE FOR A PARTICULAR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LUMBERJACK AI, LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES.
This includes, where legally permissible, losses associated with material shortages or overages, purchasing errors, incorrect bids or estimates, construction delays, labor costs, rework, fabrication errors, lost profits, lost business opportunities, project delays, plan discrepancies, professional-service expenses, or reliance upon an unverified LJAI output.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LJAI'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY THE USER TO LUMBERJACK AI FOR THE SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE SIX MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LumberJack AI, LLC and its officers, owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from unlawful use of the Services, violation of these Terms, unauthorized upload or use of third-party materials, material misrepresentation of LJAI outputs, use of unverified outputs in violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights.
Users may stop using LJAI at any time, subject to applicable subscription obligations.
LJAI may suspend or terminate access for material Terms violations, fraud, abuse, security threats, unlawful activity, nonpayment, or conduct reasonably determined to threaten the Services or other users.
LumberJack AI may update these Terms as the Services evolve or legal requirements change. The effective date and version are identified at the top of this document.
When changes are material, LJAI may provide notice and require users to affirmatively accept the revised Terms before continuing to use affected Services.
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
The parties should attempt in good faith to resolve disputes informally before initiating formal proceedings.
If a provision is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, applicable checkout terms, and any separately executed written agreement between LJAI and the user, constitute the applicable agreement concerning use of the Services.
If a separately executed written agreement expressly conflicts with these Terms, that agreement controls with respect to the conflict.
